Island Peak, Nepal

The Everest region is justifiably regarded as one of the highest rated trekking destinations in the world. You will catch magical glimpses of far away lands, sunrises and sunsets, within your face views of the mightiest peaks this planet has to offer - Mt. Everest, Amadablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Yu, Makalu and many other named and unnamed massifs.

Island Peak elevation: 6,189 meters, 20,305 ft.

Imja Tse, or Island Peak as it’s popularly known in eastern Nepal, was first scaled in 1953. To experience that inexplicable feeling at the 6,189 m summit – awe struck as you stare around you, when you look back at what you've achieved, when you feast your eyes and savour that special, exhilarating moment of success, is something no human can fathom unless you do it yourself!

An island in a sea of ice, scaling Imja Tse affords one the opportunity to explore remote mountain monasteries, walk amongst the greatest mountain scenery ever, along trails lined with Mani walls engraved with Buddhist chants and expose yourself to the unique culture of the world's best mountaineers - the tough, mysterious and highly spiritual Sherpas.

Our trek starts with a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The airstrip at Lukla is guaranteed to be the most exciting airstrip you will ever land on or take off from.

We trek along the Dudhi Kosi river till we start our deliberate climb up to Namche Bazaar, nestled at the edge of the tree line. This trek is arguably one of the most exciting itineraries in this region.

Come to explore this intruiging corner of the planet with one of the most stunning landscapes our world has to offer!
